After attending a weekend long internet marketing seminar on the Gold Coast, Australia, I’ve “Seen The Light”. What I mean by this is after about 18 months of reading and learning about all aspects on internet marketing it all seems to be coming together. Every speaker was drilling home the fact that you need to drive traffic to your site one way or other. So… Traffic is king.

I also learnt the importance of utilising the social media sites in your marketing campaigns. Even though submitting articles and posts to all these sites can be time consuming, there is another way. Outsource.

There are many sites that can help with this process such as Elance.com and Fiverr.com. I haven’t personally used them yet but I’m getting round to it!

Keywords were another hot topic for the weekend. Research, research, research. Make sure you’re targeting the right market.
